Job Description
The Principal Solutions Architect is a highly seasoned, senior consultant who has held a number of different consultancy roles throughout their career. They will be responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the project and have the ability to transform that vision through execution into the solution. They will work very closely with key business stakeholders, business analysts, project and program managers, delivery managers, technical leads, quality assurance leads, and system engineers throughout the life of a project. They will provide subject matter expertise to drive direction and provide the best solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business development team to devise sales strategy and account plans, prepare proposals, present solutions, develop statements of work, and support any other sales activities.
- Design and recommend project solutions for clients that leverage industry best practices; ensuring that these solutions meet strategic business and IT objectives for the organization
- Provide strong subject matter expertise to identify and translate business and system requirements into design artifacts and documents
- Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external resources, collaborate with project and delivery managers to provide estimates, and develop the overall implementation solution plan for area of expertise
- Identify the most challenging components and greatest risks of a proposed solution, and draw up appropriate plans to mitigate or strengthen the viability of an approach
- Provide advice and guidance to clients on implementation strategies
- Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with clients
- Serve as a lead in the implementation planning process providing work plans, estimates and scoping for area of expertise
- Manage assigned scope, client expectations, and client issues for all assignments.
- Provide education and knowledge transfer for clients
- Collaborate with the Metaformers management team to contribute to the further development and strategy of the Metaformers organization

- Ability to spot opportunities on customer sites, and work with the Business Development team to realize those opportunities
Product Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum: 7 years in a sales support role focused on the PeopleSoft software for public sector, including the following tasks: proposal development, pre-sales client visits, software demonstration setup and delivery
- Insight into full suite of PeopleSoft Enterprise solutions
- Demonstrated expert for multiple PeopleSoft products and has an in-depth knowledge of at least one product line or application technology with working knowledge of the integration of other products within the suite, as well as touch points with other suites.
- A good understanding of the PeopleSoft technical architecture
