Department Overview

Federal Practice: There are three regions that make up the US Federal Consulting Division; Civilian, Intel, and DOD. The Department of Defense region is responsible for supporting all the military agencies under its control. We support all Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine locations around the globe.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for the engineering and design of Symantec security solutions deployed within the Navy and Marine Corps, which includes, but it not limited to, Symantec AntiVirus, Symantec Enterprise Protection, Symantec Security Information Manager, Symantec Mail Security, etc. I
• In addition, this position is responsible for assisting as needed with the day-to-day operation and maintenance, as well as providing knowledge transfer on the design, maintenance, installation, and operations of the deployed Symantec solutions.
• Must demonstrate the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex network and software issues, escalating issues when necessary.
• Must provide the highest possible customer service, working with the customer to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• In addition, the role of a Principal Consultant requires developing and maintaining good working relationships, in line with the company's core values.
• A Principal Consultant is tasked to examine, investigate, and solve complex problems, showing the ability to think out-of-the-box" and develop creative solutions.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Active Department of Defense Security Clearance (Top Secret)
• Must have 4-6 years experience with Symantec security technologies (operational Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) and Symantec Security Information Manager (SSIM) is preferred).
• Must possess at least five years or equivalent of systems engineering/administration experience with large, complex, heterogeneous environments.
• Requires effective written and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts verbally and in writing (i.e. project requirements, design specifications, etc.).
• Additionally, a strong networking background is preferred, with the capability to perform network traffic captures, analyze results, and present findings to appropriate internal and external parties.
