Job Description:



Provide Supplier Quality Engineering support assigned to the AAS program with minimal supervision.



Tasks include:



* Subcontractor Quality management



* Supplier corrective action: issuance, response review, verification/validation determination



* Maintaining monthly reports on the supplier corrective actions



* Defect data analysis



* Documentation of supplier quality issues with the buyer, engineering, and supply chain management



* Tracking and applying product variance documents



* Evaluating supplier routers, and auditing supplier planning



* Participate and lead multi-functional teams in process improvement activities using Raytheon Six Sigma quality tools.



* Collect data and monitor external supplier product and process quality through evaluation and quality metrics. Perform defect data analysis and review with the program managers and supplier management.



* Plan and/or participate in supplier assessments, document and report findings/actions using the Raytheon Enterprise Supplier Assessment (RESA) process.

* Interface with buyers, Material Program Managers, source engineers, engineering, Program Quality, Supplier Quality, component engineering, Program Management, Integrated Product Team, operations management, suppliers, internal customers, and Supplier Quality management to determine and define issues, coordinate action plans for resolution and coordinate product requirements with suppliers for the assigned programs.



* Work with supplier personnel and program management to identify root cause and corrective actions to reduce supplied product defects. Use closed loop corrective action system to issue, review, and approve corrective action requests, and conduct follow-up on the corrective action.







Required Skills:



* Minimum 8 years of directly related work experience



* Experience in working with a wide variety of suppliers through the assessment of quality management systems and products



* Quality experience with a solid background in supplier quality and supply chain management



* Experience with supplier management, measurement tools, processes, and flow down requirements



* Demonstrated expertise in applying root cause analysis techniques and tools, possessing strong problem solving skills



* Experience in developing / participating in supplier capability and capacity assessments



* Strong verbal and presentation skills for interaction at various levels of management at the suppliers and within the organization



* Report writing, technical white papers, power point presentations, and leading problem solving efforts are all required skills



* Working knowledge of Quality Systems AS9100/ISO9001, statistical analysis and tools, mission assurance, configuration management, and Quality planning



* Ability to work with engineers and other technical problem solvers to develop practical solutions. Applicant must be able to credibly resolve technical issues with respect to processes, systems, and hardware deliverables with Engineering, Supply Chain and the Supplier



* Ability to facilitate problem resolution for supplier related issues.



* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team



* Ability to travel











Desired Skills:

* Top Secret security clearance - existing - preferred



* Familiarity with ePro, Supplier Rating System (SRS), Strategic Sourcing Application (SSA), and ESD (Enterprise Supplier Data) System.



* PQRS (Product Quality & Reliability System), FOS (Factory Operations Systems) and VM (Visiprise Manufacturing) system knowledge helpful.



* Working knowledge of Quality systems (AS9100/ISO 9000), Statistical analysis processes and tools, Configuration Management, and Mission Assurance.



* Knowledge of assembly/manufacturing, integration and test operations



* ASQ certified: CQE or CQA.



* Knowledge of or experience with Purchase Order and Contract review for Quality Requirements flow down.



* Technical degree is necessary. Candidates in this position must be able to resolve technical issues with respect to product processes, systems, and deliverables in engineering, supply chain and quality and at the supplier.







Required Education:



* BS Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or closely related field
