Job Description :



The Principal Systems Engineer will support the design, implementation and execution of testing to verify systems and business requirements . The Principal Systems Engineer will help prepare detailed, comprehensive proposals and support development and testing of these proposed systems, review processes, and validate functionality. Additional responsibilities include:

- Support the applicable lifecycle phase in which requirements are initiated through completion

- Support development and delivery of System Requirements Document (SRD) and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) work products

- Develop program requirements

- Schedule and document program requirement gathering meetings

- Participate in reviews throughout the requirements phase to help ensure eventual design deliverables

- Support the mapping of test cases and scripts to documented system requirements


- Participate in the coordination and execution of the project

- Proactively manage all system requirements and test activities to achieve on schedule delivery of all work products, tasks assigned

- Documents findings and work with other appropriate personnel such Software Developers, Quality Assurance



Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required to include experience in technical writing, senior leader briefings preparation/presentation and direct customer interface with Specialists, Functional Specialists and other team members.



Required Skills:

- Ability to analyze and design processes for application developers to interpret

- Ability to develop system level requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including business requirements, user meetings, previous requirement artifacts, etc.

- Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards

- 3 years of requirements analysis, documentation experience

- Understanding of system lifecycle development processes and practical application of a methodology

- Familiarity with JCIDS

- Experience with requirements collection and decomposition

- Support management movement to attain CMMI level 3

- Be able to produce and crosswalk traceability matrices

- Familiarity with Army training systems and Army training

- Development and intimate knowledge of TRADOC PAM 350-70



Desired Skills:



Solid skills with MS Office products.

Experience with both Windows and LINUX operating systems.

Ability to operate independently and with minimal guidance.



Required Education: B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics. Master degree desired. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.







Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.
