Principal Web Developer - TS/SCI

This position is located in our CO, Peterson AFB(Colorado Springs) facility



Job Description: Researches, tracks and understands new web technologies to provide technical leadership in developing service applications and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to intranet and external Internet-related systems. Builds applications using Internet and Windows Development tools. Provides written design documents, test plans and test results. Manages, develops, integrates, and implements related applications components, including front-end development, server-side development and database integration. Plays a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of the applications. Establishes and communicates standards to manage cost and ensure continuity of applications.

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the design, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of a dynamic web application that resides on two secure DoD networks. The position requires research and implementation of new and emerging web technologies, and the development and deployment of new application features to meet changing customer requirements. Required programming languages include Cold Fusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and SQL, as well as knowledge of the UNIX system architecture and Oracle 10g database technologies supporting this web environment. Future projects and support will require knowledge of Java, PHP, and database design.

This applicant must possess strong written and oral communication, and organizational skills, and will work directly with DoD customers at all levels of application development and use. They will also coordinate web programming duties for supporting military and contractor personnel.

Requires BS/BA degree. Requires IT Industry Standard Certification(s). ITIL, Security+, and JAVA certifications a plus.

Requires BS/BA degree and 5-8 years experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

This position also serves as the Project and Configuration Manager for the development of new dynamic enterprise web applications designed for deployment at multiple commands in support of the intelligence community.
