Reporting to the Corporate Director of Packaging of a worldwide leader in designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing orthopedic reconstructive, spinal and trauma devices, dental implants, and related orthopedic surgical products. Responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of sterile and non-sterile packaging systems for all company product lines. Provides project management for support of new product introductions, line extensions and external development alliances. Interfaces with Corporate Director of Packaging in developing Corporate wide packaging and labeling practices. Will take initial design concepts through development process as the subject matter expert for packaging development, testing, and validation practice. Will work closely with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Strategic Sourcing, Corporate Packaging, outside vendors and hospital personnel. Challenge is to work in a fast pace, customer driven environment while maintaining accuracy and continuing to grow the company’s competitiveness in the market place.

Background Required:
• Medical Device Packaging and Labeling Industry (6 years)
• Project Management
• Subject matter expert (FDA and ISO audits)
• ISO 13485 compliance
• Working knowledge of clean room and sterilization process
• Computer Programs: CAD (Solid Works & AutoCAD) Office Suite and Project and Minitab
• Education: Bachelor of Science Packaging/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
• Location: Canton, OH (relocation assistance)
