Purpose of the role
The account executive is responsible for customer service and product delivery through constant liaison with clients, the Williams Lea Account Manager and suppliers on all matters relating to Merchandise and campaign management services. The primary focus of this role will be to deliver exceptional customer service. Requests for quotations will be processed in a responsive manner and clients will be updated regularly on the progress of their work. The Account Executive will, in conjunction with the central procurement team, select the most appropriate supplier, negotiate costing and timescales for each job, manage benchmark information and ensure that internal procedures are followed at all times. Orders will be processed in the most efficient manner available. Ownership of the development of client relationships and supplier relationships will reside with the Account Executive. The Account Executive will work closely together with colleagues in supporting daily operations with regards to workflow and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on economic formats, working with agencies to derive cost effective and fit for print projects
Provide technical input and advice on print projects
Procurement of print (marketing print and merchandise), delivering on time, to specification, to quality and to contractual targets
Understanding of how Williams Lea can support and deliver added value to the client
Take accurate information from our Clients, formulating full production briefs
Produce detailed print specifications to suppliers
Maintain detailed job history information
Develop strong relationships with suppliers
Implement and use management information systems
Ensure best practices in conjunction with wider Williams Lea operations group
Daily tracking and analysis of benchmarking information, ensuring that this data is communicated monthly to the Account Manager
Effective introduction and management of Williams Lea chosen e-procurement systems
Train and support colleagues and client in best use of the system
Is able to demonstrate and express an informed understanding of how e-procurement can provide business advantage to the client
Work within Williams Lea operating budget and billing process
Ensure best practices procedures are followed and documentation complete
Produce and analyze end of month MI reports
Attend customer meetings
Attend design agency meetings
Cover for the Account Manager when required
Define new business opportunities
Develop a good understanding of the client’s business and industry sector
Build relationships with clients and manage their perceptions and expectations
Own and resolve customer complaints
Demonstrate an understanding of the technological direction of the industry and how these advances will benefit the client
Identify and develop business opportunities inline with the business plan
Attend supplier meetings and manages the relationship and expectations
Resolves complex supplier issues, escalates to Account Manager where appropriate
Take responsibility for own performance management
Take responsibility for own development
Promote the Williams Lea culture by living the values and leading by example
Coach and support peers as appropriate
Ensure results of any customer satisfaction survey and general customer feedback is acted upon where necessary
Implement and use best practice principles
Adhere to defined ordering, authorization and billing process
Implement and review local operating procedures manual
Requirements:
Experience in management of a budget and achieving targets
Ability to build relationships and develop new business
Committed, resilient and prepared to work extra hours as required

Experience of working in an environment where priorities are constantly changing
