MAKA Beauty Systems, the Southwest’s largest independent distributor of professional beauty brands, is currently seeking a Distributor Sales Consultant for the West Valley and White Mountains markets.  MAKA Beauty Systems offers Schwarzkopf, L’ANZA, KEVIN.MURPHY, Eufora, Moroccanoil, Creative Nail Design and more.  Our family-owned company, founded in 1991, has never cut sales commissions, never split or reduced territories and is dedicated to helping its team members be as successful as possible.

This position’s key goals/responsibilities include:

• Be a driving force behind new sales in the West Side market
• Conduct sales calls to salons and spas, make presentations and finalize product orders with salon professionals
• Work independently to conduct sales calls using a house list of clients and/or target salons working to increase sales, ensure client satisfaction and promote product sell through
• Identify new sales targets, secure appointments, make presentations and close new account sales
• Provide customer support ensuring clients receive needed ongoing training and sales support
• Attend key company meetings at MAKA Headquarters in Chandler, AZ
• Prepare and submit reports to assist in the monitoring of activity success
• Work cooperatively with other MAKA representatives in other markets

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

• Minimum 2 years in a sales position
• Must be aware that compensation is fully based on sales commissions.
• Must have a proven track record of being able to successfully close sales
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills desired, polished presenter preferred
• Should enjoy working with people and be able to interface with a variety of personality types
• Experience with professional beauty products preferred, but not required
• Experience working in professional beauty product distribution preferred
• Must be comfortable working in the field conducting cold calls
• Must be available for overnight travel; position involves up to 20% overnight travel
• Must be available some evenings and weekends for special events such as product shows, classes and training events as needed to support clients and brand development
• Must have reliable personal vehicle available for in-market field sales
• Good computer skills and ability to receive communication via e-mail desired.
