Process Analyst - Information Systems


CCS Medical is a leading, national healthcare company that has been serving healthcare professionals and their patients since 1990.  We are dedicated to providing caring, compassionate, reliable, and cost effective home health services to our valued customers to treat their chronic medical conditions and improve their quality of life.  We are currently seeking a Process Analyst for our corporate office in Clearwater, Fl

Job Duties:


 


·        Confers with personnel of organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports;


·        Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs;


·        Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or change to existing program(s) is possible within existing system architecture;


·        Independently studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required;


·        Independently obtains and analyzes existing financial and non-financial data to determine trends, and to develop independent verification and validation of existing business reports.


·        Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail, operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system;


·        Independently conducts studies pertaining to development of new information systems or (sub-systems) to meet current and projected needs.


·        Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development;


·        Assists software developers and programmers in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications, programming and/or end-user requirements;


·        Familiarity with relational database concepts and client-server concepts and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  


·        Typically involved in new applications of computer technology and works small to medium range complex systems.


·        Assists in the development and planning of cost-effective long-term solutions for new and existing applications;


·        Works closely with other analysts, external technical support, team members and end-users;


·        Participates in planning, scheduling and reviewing system implementation.  Prepares oral and written proposals and presentations on major projects.


·        Performs all other duties as assigned.


 


Qualifications:


 


·        Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from 4 year college or university and 4 years or more experience in  a software design, development and support environment, where primary responsibility focused on requirements analysis and creation of system design/performance specifications, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.


·        Alternatively, 6+ years experience working in the health care mail order business with broad knowledge of the business and an affinity for developing processes and procedures aimed at handling large volumes of business, efficiency, and exception handling.


·        Four years in developing detailed requirements analysis/specifications for developing software systems to satisfy user requirements.         


·        College of Business Information Systems, or College of Engineering Computer Science degree. 


·        Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. 


·        Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 


·        Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. 


·        Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


·        Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. 


·        Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. 


·        Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
