Are you a degreed chemical engineer with 5 or more years of process control engineering experience in the refining or petrochemical industry? Are you interested in leveraging your experience to advance your career? 

If so, we have an exceptional opportunity! Our client is seeking an experienced Process Control Engineer to fulfill a key technical position in its large Baton Rouge area refinery and petrochemical complex.

As the Process Control Engineer, you will d
evelop and provide support for basic process control applications, including point configuration and loop tuning, and design and implement advanced regulatory controls. You will review unit projects for controllability and implement control strategies for new or modified equipment.

The Process Control Engineer also implements Advanced Process Control strategies to improve unit profitability, including linear and nonlinear model predictive control and Real Time Optimization, and leads the economic evaluation, testing, and model identification.


We are very interested in individuals with the following background requirements:
   

  • BS in Chemical Engineering
  • At least 5 or more years of process control engineering experience in the refining or petrochemical industry    
  • DCS system knowledge (Honeywell TDC3000/Experion is a plus)
  • Experience with DMC or Real Time Optimizers is a plus 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self confidence 
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
