Process Engineer
Process Engineer
Description:
Can you think out side of the box? Volt is currently looking for an experienced product/process engineer to improve work across process modules including: powder mixing, compaction, vacuum sealing and container assembly technologies.
Own the development and implementation of new manufacturing methods & equipment by employing a capital development methodology.
Use statistical analysis approach to quantify process factors; perform spec validations; and characterize new measurement systems through Gauge R&R studies. Utilize results for incorporation into the manufacturing process and implementation of statistical process control systems..
Perform root cause analysis and corrective action implementation on quality excursions identified internally or by customers. Respond to external quality issues and drive internal corrective actions across departments.

Requirements:
2-5 years proven history in developing Design of Experiment, statistical analysis, process control and manufacturing.
Training and experience in lean manufacturing techniques, 6-sigma and statistical process control.
Experience in metrology development, metrology characterization (gauge R&R, MCA, etc.).
Knowledgeable in statistical analysis software (JMP preferred).
Experience in powder transfer equipment a bonus!
BSME preferred
