General Summary

Entry level position (0-2 yrs) in the Campbell Soup Company Global Engineering Systems group in Camden, NJ. Intern/Co-op experience in food or related industry a plus.



Principal Accountability

1. Technology Development (35%)

2. Process Engineering support of existing operations (15%)

3. Capital Project Development and Execution (30%)

4. Plant Implementation and Start-up in support of project teams (20%)



Job Complexity

* Develop new technology platforms to optimize current plant systems or future product/plant flexibility. Ability to "sell" ideas with strong data analysis and business need is required.

* Work with Process Research and Development on specific items that require development resources to test new technology or validate proposed process solutions.

* Work with plants to provide innovative solutions for technical issues related to existing process systems.

* Take new product initiatives and work as part of a cross-functional team to define capability, scope, and capital investment required to implement.

* Interact with outside vendors on technical details for equipment specifications and design requirements.

* Work closely with Business Units to define justification needs for Capital Project Authorization.

* Provide support to plants during installation, start-up, and commissioning phases of capital projects.

Job Specifications

Minimum education required: BS Engineering

Education desired: Chemical, Mechanical or Food Engineering

Years of relevant experience: 0-2

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

* Strong communication skills

* Intern or co-op experience

* Understanding of CAD/Engineering Design

* Exposure to capital estimating and project work



Working Conditions

Travel is cyclical dependant on stage of project execution. Annualized travel requirements is estimated to be 25-30%.
