Job Description-Need a degreed engineer, prefer ChemE or ME
5 years coextrusion blown film experience, prefer experience withcomplex structures - barrier films, medical packaging applications, food
& beverage
Experience in process validations and possibly product development or
support of R&D to commercialization
Good understanding of polymer science - resin theory and processing of
different resins including nylons, EVOH, PP, EVA's, Surlyns, etc.
Customer interaction - ability to communicate with the customer in
troubleshooting product quality defects
Ability and willingness to work "on the floor" rather than on a bench or
in an office
Supervisory experience preferred (this position has two non-degreed
process technicians as direct reports)
Six Sigma training preferred but not required - should at least be
familiar with fact-based problem solving and lean manufacturing tools
Process troubleshooting and manufacturing support
Track-record of innovation and self motivation in solving problems and
continuous improvement - needs to work on own without day-to-day
supervision. Take direction and get it done!
We need someone who can hit the floor running - we're not staffed to
provide a lot of OJT. Needs to be able to thrive and enjoy a fast-paced
environment. This is a very key and visible position for this
facility.
