SAP FPM Financials Consultant

About the Job





We are currently seeking a
SAP FPM Financials Consultant.  In this
role, you will be responsible for the configuration, evolution and delivery of
the services supporting the Financial Performance & Management process and
related services.  More specifically,
this role will focus on the end-to-end financial performance management
processes, such as financial transaction processing, financial close,
profitability accounting & reporting, and fixed assets management.  As such, the role requires in depth knowledge
of both SAP finance applications (FI,
CO
, COPA, AM) and general finance
and accounting business processes. This role is accountable for ensuring the
delivery of technology solutions that effectively meet evolving business and IT
requirements.



 



Responsibilities:





  • Manage the design and
    configuration of Business Transformation components with a focus on these three
    four key areas:  Financial Transaction
    Processing, Financial Close, Profitability Reporting & Analysis and Fixed
    Assets Management.
  • Configuration specification
    and works with stakeholders to define a long-term roadmap
  • Optimize the technology
    solution for efficiency, stability, and increased performance
  • Ensure coverage, execution,
    and remediation of test activities (e.g. unit, integration, performance)
  • Support interim state
    solution testing, by participating in the design, development and execution of
    integration and system tests
  • Support the deployment of
    production systems and provide post-production support, including the
    development of training materials
  • Assess change requests to
    determine impact and recommended course of action
  • Provide status to business
    and technical leaders including areas of concern and solutions to address
    concerns
  • Ensure areas of
    responsibility are delivered according to the overall program timeline and
    align with the overall technical architecture
  • Ability to manage issues
    from identification thru resolution




















 



Qualifications:





  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
    Science or equivalent is required
  • Advanced Degree is preferred
  • At least 5-10 years
    experience with SAP of IT experience in a business aligned position and at
    least 5 years in  ERP implementation
    projects
  • Held a lead project role is
    desirable or related leadership role
  • Prior experience with the
    SAP ECC 6.0 financial SD modules is required, and a general understanding of
    SAP Business Intelligence/Business Objects reporting is preferred
  • Experience with the SAP
    Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) is preferred
  • Ability to manage strategic
    programs, develop strong business relationships, drive innovation, and
    establish best practices
