Technisource is currently seeking a Process Engineer for a direct placement position in Eastern Iowa.

Job Description:
Responsible for total process optimization.  This will include statistical analysis of available technical information, design of experiments, design of additional data collection systems, production and appropriate machine control, monitoring devices, procedures, recommendations regarding machine design and modifications, maintenance of quality / process support system to operations, and other duties as directed. To ensure acceptable in process and final product quality.

Essential Duties or Functions:
*  Customer complaint resolution
*  Assist with acceptance of customer, internal, raw stock specifications and quality/process standards.
*  Disposition of nonconforming product.
*  Supervise successful start up and implementation of new or modified equipment.
*  Process optimization in methods and work flow improvement.
*  Statistical analysis.
*  Production data systems design
*  Plant Trials
*  Responsible for contributing to the production of a quality product by performing work according to directions and making suggestions to
   improve all manufacturing processes.
*  To assist in the development of new products and processes.
*  To assist with resolution of process and equipment problems.
*  To utilize computers and analytical techniques in the job.
*  To complete projects as assigned by supervisor of the department.
*  To participate in and lead various Iowa City Plant improvement teams.
*  To assist in the training of production employees.
*  Responsible for thoroughly understanding product quality expectations and contributors to product quality for both customers and suppliers
   products.

Other Duties or Functions
*  To assist with the implementation of corrective and preventative action.
*  Special projects and assignments may be added at the discretion of the Production Manager.

Required Skills:
B.S. in  Engineering or 4 year related degree with 2 - 4 years industry experience.
Knowledge of coating operations, extrusion/lamination, silicone coating is required.
Prefer experience with converting within the paper industry.
Strong computer skills.
Problem solving skills and team concept training.
Mechanical and electrical knowledge beneficial.
Knowledge of statistical techniques including : SPC, design of experiments and quality improvement systems.
