The Process Engineer is responsible for the development of new processes and support of existing production processes. The process engineer will be responsible for all tooling check heats and pre-production runs.
Develops processes that focus on quality, on-time delivery, must be operator friendly, and in line with operational objectives. Create equipment specifications, order and coordinate the installation of such equipment while maintaining the high standards of manufacturing safety.
Qualifications and Requirements
· B.S. in Engineering.
· Ability to understand the technical aspect of the written specifications involving process design and application
· Injection molding of rubber materials and mold design is required.
· Requires on-the-job experience with area production parts and process.
· Travel and overtime may be required.
· Perform routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
· Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.
· Requires problem solving and decision making ability with positive human relation skills
· Ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment as needed

Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties
· Works to develop molding and after-molding processes that are production viable
· Applies sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Requires the use of advanced techniques and modifications, extension of theories, precepts and practices.
· Establish process flows and standards for operations to manufacture.
· Active role involving technical support of production operations. Includes significant hands-on activities and involvement with the manufacturing process.
· Monitor non-conforming rate by part and process with a goal of reducing non-value added operations.
· Develop and maintain project list and activity log while working to improve and support daily production requirements.
· Support tool and sample reviews including validation processes
Working Environment
· Office environment, primarily.
· Moderately loud manufacturing environment, secondary.
· Fast paced, requiring flexibility in handling a variety of functions simultaneously
Physical Requirements
· Major portion of schedule is spent working in the production environment.
· Clear and distinct speaking voice and hearing clear enough for understanding required.
· Significant walking and standing required.
· Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception required.
· Lifting limited to no more than 35 lbs.
· Ability to travel.
