Financial Services Practice - Retail Banking - Integrated Banking Solutions
 
The Banking consulting practice provides services to major banks around the globe and works in virtually all banking areas and competencies. 
- Retail Banking: Consumer deposits accounts, loans (e.g., auto, home equity), individual retirement accounts (IRAs)
- Mortgage: Consumer Loans secured by real estate (e.g., personal residence).  This includes the underwriting, approval, servicing and collections.
- Payments: Payments initiation, processing and settlement.  Includes credit cards
- Wholesale Banking: Cash management services (e.g., lockbox, fund management), merchant services, business banking services (deposits and loans), institutional trust and securities custody services to commercial and corporate institutions.
Process Modeling Banking Senior Consultants (PMSCs) are involved in the design and implementation of business process management solutions.  PMSCs possess implementation
lifecycle experience. Their focus area is that of the design of business processes supported by underlying technology implementations. While they are aware of the dynamics of technology implementations, PMSCs are deep subject matter experts in an industry segment. They function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions. As the PMSCs must be credible to industry experts, PMSCs must demonstrate a commitment to functional excellence, by pursuing relevant certification and accreditation programs in the banking industry.

Essential Functions: 
- Banking Senior Consultants work within an engagement team and are not responsible for project management. 
- Responsibilities include, among others, identify business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
 
Banking Process Modeling Sr. Consultants are
required to have:
- 3+ years of  banking industry experience and/or consulting experience.
- Experience participating in at least 1(one) large-scale, full-life cycle Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) implementation or a large systems implementation effort in the banking industry, in more than one phase (starting from scoping and planning requirements, through design, development, testing, through go live). This effort can be within a management consulting environment or in the industry.
- Experience in one or more requirements definition and elicitation techniques including use case modeling, joint application development (JAD), feature oriented domain analysis (FODA), accelerated requirements method (ARM).
- Experience in one or more prototyping techniques including rapid and evolutionary prototyping.
- At least 3 year experience in documenting standard operating procedures, participating in process reviews and awareness of quality functions.
- Integrated
banking solutions experience in one or more of the following areas:  Fidelity banking software, Hogan Systems, Fiserv software, Jack Henry Banking, Argo, S1 Personal Banking, TouchPoint, ViewPoint.
- Technical experience (any phase of implementation) in at least one project with one of the following is preferred: Fuego, Filenet, PegaSystems, Savvion, Lombardi, HandySoft, MetaStorm, Ultimus,Websphere Process Server, Websphere Application Server, Websphere MQ, SeeBeyond, Tibco, Vitria, WebMethods, IBM BEA Weblogic, and Crossworlds.
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel to client locations (80%).
 
In addition, successful Senior Consultants will also have the following preferred skills:
- Possess strong understanding of software development methodologies (RUP, Agile or other SDLC).
- Awareness of Six Sigma, other process improvement techniques and change management procedures is desired.
- Ability to work
independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
- Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Willingness to mentor junior staff.
- An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred.
