Position Summary:
Support strategic sourcing initiatives and category management activities by performing research, analysis and development for assigned project and/or category scope.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Streamline and develop appropriate metrics and calculations enabling category managers to best measure and timely report budget variances, coverage levels and market exposures on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
- Manage the weekly and monthly Procurement reporting and financial forecasting process for the Procurement organization and the measure of performance against same.
- Support Procurement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process working closely with the field to ensure consistency in timeline, reporting and internal review processes.
- Provide financial reporting, analysis and performance insights on monthly results, savings initiatives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other internal management reporting.
- Prepare and enter contract documents based on analysis of raw material consumption, inventory level and usage forecast. Develop standard purchase planning, and procedure to manage category buying information.
- Communicate with suppliers, plants and MRCs to coordinate contract fulfillment and material flow execution.
- Develop, maintain and apply cost standards/ cost models to support the buyers in achieving annual cost saving and market advantage targets.
- Contribute to the development of Total Cost of Ownership models.
- Work with senior Procurement Management to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
- Support buyers and internal customers in gathering and assessing business requirements including PPV, RFP's and general sourcing support.
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or MIS.
- Demonstrates procurement leadership experience or experience in related operational fields such as Manufacturing, Logistics, or Technology.
- Should show a strong understanding of operational aspects of the company from raw materials through delivering to the customer.
- Must be a quick study, proven ability to manage change, ability to work across boundaries and boarders, and strong decision making.
- Excellent communicator, politically persuasive, demonstrated skills in collaboration, proven ability to develop direct reports.
- Excel experience required: intermediate + skill level.
