Strategic Sourcing Manager

The Global leader in food supplies with sales over $1 Billion is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager . 

Responsibilities:Supports existing sourcing, develops new sourcing strategies, gains buy-in and works in areas of finished goods and/or raw material procurement.

Creates purchase orders for raw materials,finished goods, food ingredients, buy/sell products

Interfacing with Accounts Payable and Purchasing to resolve pricing or quantity issues

Reviews analysis on inventory levels, transportation and warehousing costs, service to customers on an ongoing basis to ensure things are efficient and cost effective

Addresses customer concerns with production and sales team members

Replenishes customer distribution center inventory

Analyzes customer's distribution center inventory levels to maintain adequate stock for shipment

Calculates inventory and sales forecast to ensure optimum merchandise levels are available

Manages supplier relationships

Works cross-functionally with New Product Development, Imports, Marketing, Sales, Distribution Reps, etc

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree
Srong Stategic Sourcing background
Experience with analyzing the market, developing a multi-year strategy on buys, etc. 

8+ years experience of raw material procurement- i.e. wheat, sugar, flour etc

Must have Food procurement experience

Has worked in a cross functional environment
