Saks Fifth Avenue is seeking a Procurement Manager for our service center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for a broad spectrum of spend categories, including but not limited to service agreements for Treasury, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal and other ad hoc store requirements. Primary responsibilities include conducting competitive bidding, “should cost price” modeling, supplier identification and evaluation for all general services. The position interacts with multiply customers and stakeholders, serving as the lead for all procurement activities for these areas. This position is responsible for managing over $25 million in bank fees, auditor contracts, outside legal council agreements, subscriptions, store re-lamping, radios, and FCC government reporting requirements.
Primary Goals
- Develop and execute soucing strategies in support of the stores and corporate in the services area. Direct execution of category projects to ensure completion of on time and on budget performance.
- Assure compliance with all license and regulations around store radio’s
- Provide operational support
- Be central point of expertise and knowledge for all aspects of managed categories
- Interact as part of a cross-functional team across departments as necessary and perform as an effective and value added service for the entire organization
- Identify and implement stream lined category purchasing processes and support tools
Secondary Goals
- Guide Treasury, Accounting, HR, and Legal regarding procurement best practices
- Ensure appropriate division of responsibilities and audit documentation
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, MBA a plus.
- CPM, CPP or CPPC certification desired
- Diversified background with exposure to services, legal contracting and finance. Solid understanding of project management and user marketing skills in order to conduct internal marketing. Strong negotiating skills.
- 3-5 years of procurement experience in a multi tasking environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in getting others to follow team/ corporate direction. Polished presentation skills.
