Under the direction of the Manager-Engineering Data Services in Kitchen & Bath Engineering this position is primarily related to the maintenance, development and support of product data management as it relates to document management, knowledge management and engineering change management.
Responsibilities include: evaluating current PDM (product data management) practices and policies; which will include entry procedures and entry time, data collection, data accuracy, process design and test, training and communication policies.
Identifying inefficiencies and process improvements. Serving as the liaison between the user community and the IT community by defining user needs. Ability to identify potential areas of improvement, dollarized savings and finding existing technology or functionality already being used in other business units. Communicate improvements and processes throughout the PDM communities in Plumbing Americas, Asia, Europe and Interiors. Develop system test plans and appropriate documentation that can be used globally.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Business Administration or Information Technology with a minimum of 2-4 years experience working in a product data management, product life cycle management, materials management, production planning or sales and distribution environment
Solid experience working within a SAP or product life cycle environment and the ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin, French or Mexican Spanish is a strong plus.
