  Participate in the performance of a variety of duties involved in collecting and entering data into various computer software applications according to programmed instructions and procedures; create, verify, and distribute resultant printouts as required.

  Create reports as required. This can include data extraction for personal use or report generation for others.


• 
  
  Coordinate the collection of data from point of origin; participate in the preprocessing of data to locate missing information and to make corrections as necessary.


• 
  
  Verify data entered into computer by checking printouts for errors and correcting as required; perform statistical/analytical checks to ascertain accuracy of data entered.


• 
  
  Monitor the systems for malfunctions; report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.


• 
  
  Coordinate the retrieval of information from the other business areas.


• 
  
  Assist in data collection and compilation for revisions to the data processing system.


• 
  
  Propose and help implement process and procedural improvements.

• 
  
  Develop and maintain adhoc reports supporting business needs.  Reports are generated utilizing AS/400 queries, Impromptu, Crystal (using ODBC), and Excel.   Systems reported on include John Galt, ShopVue, JBA, and NPDS.         

Qualifications, skills, education required:

            1.   Minimum 2 year technical college degree, with APICS certification preferred.

2.      Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other Windows office applications.

3.      Ability to analyze systems output information and recommend actions

4.      Fast and accurate data entry skills.

5.      Exposure to MRPII and Forecasting systems methodology.

6.      Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.      

7.      Teamwork oriented

8.      Be quality and customer service oriented

            9.  Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
