What You'll Do At John Deere Ag and Turf, a Product Engineer designs mechanical and hydraulic systems for John Deere Professional Mowing product lines. In addition you will: - Develop new design concepts and improve current designs using mechanical and hydraulic engineering principles to achieve product functional and reliability requirements.
- Provide product specifications and bills of material including producing drawings and directing others in drawing creations.
- Work in a cross-functional team environment in new product and current product teams.
- Direct less experienced designers for parts of a project and/or lead cross functional sub-teams on new product programs.
What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have a BS Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. In addition we require: - Experience with Pro/E design software and engineering analysis tools.
- 3 or more years of engineering experience in the design and/or test of mechanical and/or hydraulic components and systems.
A strong candidate will also have product design and/or test experience with mobile equipment.
