Our client is committed to being a broad based orthopedic products company involved in developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing high quality medical devices and services throughout the world. Their strategy is to successfully acquire and integrate companies and develop products that expand or complement its existing product groups in orthopedics, increase vertical integration and enlarge its customer base.

Our client is seeking a qualified candidate to execute all aspects of product development activities including design control, new product roll-out to manufacturing and sustaining engineering for specific products.  Responsibilities include:  interacting with many different functional departments and with surgeons and external technical experts; generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts; designing for manufacturability and optimum costs; completing stress analysis on new designs; generating a comprehensive protocol for testing the product; coordinating product evaluation with surgeons and generating design assurance documentation.

Successful candidates MUST have these minimum capabilities to be considered for this position:  BS degree in mechanical and biomedical engineering; 2 to 6 years experience in the development, design, project management and medical device manufacturing; mechanical and biomedical engineering standards and concepts are a must; knowledge of computer graphics, word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis as well as CAD drafting and 3D modeling necessary.
