This position supports Global Manufacturing at this Client's Corporate R&D Headquarters
Position Responsibilities
- Provide direction & input in the area of Non-Metallic Materials Engineering for the New Product Design Group
- Provide technical support to manufacturing & purchasing, including process development, materials evaluation, supplier development & Value improvement initiatives
- Maintain & develop Color Harmonization methods & procedures
- Train Engineering, Manufacturing & Suppliers in Polymers & Color Analysis
- Maintain & develop Materials Laboratory procedures & equipment
- Maintain & develop non-metallic materials specifications
Desired Background - BS Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Plastics Engineering
- 2-3 years experience in Engineering & Manufacturing in the Materials field preferred
- Prefer experience with plastics, elastometers, finishes, lubricants, adhesives & ceramics
- Experience in materials testing & knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Interpersonal skills - capable of interfacing with all levels of the business
