MAJOR DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop and commercialize new or improved consumer HVAC products

• Responsible for the design and development of new and modified HVAC products containing electrical or electronic controls.  This responsibility includes all development aspects from concept through production launch

Develop supply chain for controls and related components

·         Support Supply Management in developing current and new sources of controls and other electrical components to improve cost, lead time and product quality.

Provide daily support and technical assistance

·      Provide support to Production, Sales and Customer Service as needed.

• Regular contact with approval agencies, suppliers, customers and sales personnel.

Develop quality criteria and test procedures

·         Create design and performance standards for controls and control systems.  Assure agency compliance.  Develop test procedures and equipment to support Production and Quality Assurance.

Project leader

·         Operate as Team leader on assigned projects.  Utilize product development process to assure on time and on budget launch of new and revised products.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering.  5+ years of experience in electrical and electronic controls for consumer products (HVAC preferred). 

• CAD, MS Office and general computer skills required.
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
