Product Engineer/Designer:

Our client, based in Camarillo, Ca specializing in design, manufacture and market of  novelty small brand kitchen appliances is looking for an enthusiastic and creative product engineer/designer to conceive, design and develop new products and update exiting products.  I am looking for a Product Engineer/Designer who has strong mechanical skills as well as Electrical.  You also will be traveling on occasion in China.  This person needs to be aware of what hot in the market and design accordingly to help this client keep up with the trends in a competitive market.  This company is growing and seeking a talent who has a passion of product engineering and design. 

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field, or in a related area
• Must have electrical and mechanical experience with strong emphases in small appliances design
• Must have a general knowledge of the benefits and limitation of materials used in both Injection molding and Sheet-Metal fabrication
• Ability to test a finished product for quality and recommend changes to product specifications as necessary
• Detail oriented with strong ideation, conception, and design aesthetic
• Ensure the efficient utilization of materials in the production and assembly processes
• Experience in Consumer Electronics and House wares
• Ability to design, and digitally illustrate 2D & 3D product concepts at a fast pace
• Self-starter that can work on many multi-faceted tasks at once
• Responsible for providing engineering support in the development of new products and product families
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills a must
• Tenacious with good researching abilities
• Design, color and lifestyle trend savvy
• Skilled in developing systems to organize and track progress of many multi-faceted projects
• Ability to work in a pleasant and professional manner with internal staff, factories, and vendors

Required Software:

·         MS Office, Any 3D CAD or Engineering Software (company currently Uses Rhino) Adobe- Photoshop and Illustrator

·         Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
