We have a 3+ month contract position for a Product Engineer with an extensive medical device industry background. Responsibilities are as follows:
Develop, maintain and execute design verification, compliance, environmental and reliability test plans, traceability matrices, procedures, equipment, results, and other related documents to ensure product consistently meet high quality standards and agency requirements. Candidates will have a background in this field from the Electrical Engineering perspecitve more than the Mechanical perspective.
Direct the development and assembly of prototypes by providing documentation and technical assistance to design engineering staff, material procurement team, and others as necessary to ensure high quality prototypes are built in a timely manner. Understand DFM form the Manufacturing perspective. Understand UL safety requirements and work w/ EMC activities.
Develop project documentation in accordance with quality and change management procedures and guidelines to ensure project information is properly organized and archived. Understand issues that could arise while the product is in the field, thus needing field service. The idea being the product would be designed in a way that allows easy accesss to subsystems while product is in the field for serviceability.
Demonstrate proficiency using lab equipment and debug techniques to ensure products meet design requirements.
