Product Line Manager

Avionic Instruments, Inc. (AI2) is an internationally recognized leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced airborne-qualified power conversion, control and distribution equipment. Since its inception in the early 1970s, AI2 has amassed an impressive customer base, supplying an extensive array of products and systems to major military and commercial airframe manufacturers and prime contractors. The product families include static inverters, frequency converters, regulated and unregulated transformer rectifier units, lighting control systems, DC to DC converters, and custom power processing, distribution and control products.

 

AI2   is currently seeking a motivated Product Line Manager to lead and coordinate major business activities related to custom engineered products through an integrated multifunctional team.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

·         Lead specific Product Line Business Unit

·         Lead and assist in prioritizing all New Business activity for the product team to successful conclusion.

·         Prepare Business Plan for product line, including strategy for new and existing products, pricing structure, sales forecast, advertising, and promotion.

·         Meet annual growth plans and assist in achieving operating profit margin targets for product line by actively maximizing pricing opportunities, engaging in a price for value philosophy and leading productivity projects.

·         Support field sales through customer interface at key accounts.

·         Ensure that terms and conditions of new proposals and contracts conform to Company policy and product line strategic business plan.

 

The successful incumbent will have a BS degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or other similar Engineering discipline. Additionally, an understanding of total company operations and a familiarity with customer needs and opportunities for product development and market expansion is necessary.  Candidates with proven leadership of multifunctional teams; sales exposure and a custom manufacturing environment background highly preferred. Excellent opportunity for future management level advancement exists.  Individuals with a high aptitude and energy should email resumes to jobs@avionicinstruments.com .  Please note: this role will entail approximately 20 - 25% travel and will be based out of our Tempe, AZ location.
