A high-growth medical device company is expanding its commercial team and in need of a Product Manager to help take them to the next level. This profitable, global organization has operations in over 20 countries and has enjoyed rapid growth for the past five years. They provide and exciting work environment where their teams have unusually strong personal chemistry, and this year they will launch over 20 new products.
The marketing team is relatively small so the job description is very broad; if you like varied responsibilities in a dynamic environment then this could be the opportunity for you.
The Opportunity
The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing new product planning strategies and product launch plans for a line of innovative technology in the ultrasound market. This assignment includes both upstream and downstream marketing activities and you will be asked to “wear many hats” in this broadly defined role. Specific duties include product life cycle planning, segmentation, positioning and branding for your assigned products. You will work closely with R&D to provide commercial direction for product specifications, and you’ll interact frequently with the sales force and with global distributors.
The small size of the team means that the Product Manager will be expected to have strong analytical skills and present recommendations to senior management on a routine basis. The position will also require excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the imaging market. Other important duties include forecasting, budgeting and managing relationships with ad agencies and market research vendors. This is a blend of strategic and tactical marketing where you will be working internationally on occasion. Travel is estimated at 20%.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
5+ years of Medical Device, Diagnostic or Medical Equipment overall industry experience
2+ years of Marketing and New Product Planning experience with medical technology, including product launch experience
Strong analytical and presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA preferred
The compensation plan includes an extremely competitive base salary, a yearly incentive-plan bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Financial assistance is available for relocation.
