SUMMARY
Manage a broad line of superior quality health care related standard products by implementing tactical plans and objectives to increase the sales and market share of the company.
Product Trends
Ø Conduct market research to determine product viability and market acceptance.
Ø Work with strategic business unit managers to identify overall market potential.
Ø Monitor product trends to effectively produce product forecasts and recommend product line rationalization and introductions of new products.
Ø Interface with cross functional teams such as finance, sales, customer service, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, distribution and operations in order to develop objectives and provide input regarding all phases of product development.
Product and Market Strategy
Ø Develop analytical tools necessary to support the business analysis, pricing strategies and the implementation of recommended sales and marketing programs.
Ø Recommend pricing levels based on the competitive landscape, the desired product position, ASP and acceptable profit margins.
Ø Maintain a matrix demonstrating competitors’ product comparisons.
Manufacturing
Ø Assist in the determination of the most cost effective manufacturing processes by interacting with manufacturing to identify more efficient processes that reduce production costs and maintain quality.
Ø Identify more cost effective alternative products both domestically and internationally.
Marketing Tools and Sales Training for the Products
Ø Develop and implement marketing tools (website, brochures, advertising, training programs, etc.).
Ø Assist in the development of product positioning and marketing strategy.
Ø Develop and coordinate product related training for the sales organization, customer service center and the customers.
Ø Determine the tools necessary to address the resolution of ongoing product complaints and work in conjunction with other departments to implement those tools.
Government Policies
Ø Develop and maintain familiarity with all relevant governmental regulatory policies and requirements.
Tradeshows
Ø Participate in the planning and execution of tradeshows.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Bachelors Degree.
Ø A minimum of 2 years work experience in product management and/or project development with a demonstrated ability to develop product/project plans, manage the project team’s activities and complete the projects on time and within budget.
Ø A proven track record of ability to synthesize/analyze complex and diverse information and design work flows along with procedures based on the analysis.
Ø Experience in contract negotiation with outside vendors.
Ø Excellent interpersonal/communication/problem solving skills (both verbal and written).
Ø Excellent track record of team building and leadership skills.
Ø Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize accurately and manage multiple tasks.
Ø Proficient in MS Office.
Ø Ability to travel as needed.
