PRODUCT MANAGER

DESCRIPTION:

Position is responsible for both project and product management of new and existing products.  As a Project Manager this position requires proven experience in managing the development and launch of new product through a Stage Gate type structure.  In a Product Management capacity, this role requires management of product lifecycle including product concepts, marketing and ongoing strategies.  Position manages cross functional teams to develop new products as well as market strategies for growth and continued profitability. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Analyzes market and industry trends to identify profitable growth strategies and product development opportunities.

• As the product champion, this position will be the primary liaison with our global sales team, R&D, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, responsible for new product introduction & product planning.

·         Responsible for new product launch with the primary objectives of compressing the gestation cycle and accelerating customer adoption rate.

·         Prepares and introduces pricing strategy for new and existing products. 

·         Initiates programs to increase profitability for assigned product line(s).

·         Prepares new product forecasts and coordinates with management for input into strategic plan.

·         Prepares and maintains all product literature (technical, marketing, sales, and website) and product promotional material.

·         Provides current and new product training to worldwide customers, sales and customer service.

·         Provides technical support to sales worldwide per assigned product line.

·         Prepares application reports and press releases for customers and market.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years product management experience required.

·         Previous applications engineering experience a plus.

·         MBA and/or advanced degree/certification (i.e. PMP, 6 Sigma Black Belt, etc) preferred.
