Product Manager- Mobile

Responsibilities:
 
1.Product Development:  
Gathers data on new product ideas and evaluates them for financial and market potential.  
Works with product development on new products and current product enhancements ensuring achievement of strategic revenue objectives.  
Plays proactive role in product planning and design to ensure the product is differentiated from competitors’. 
 Involved with product throughout all stages of life cycle (conception, definition, development, release and post-release activities).  
Defines product features of release, and develops written, prioritized Product Requirements to guide Engineering. 
Acts as primary engineering contact to support implementation decisions. 
Supports engineering in resolving functional questions throughout the development effort. 
Manages contracts with outside suppliers of integrated components. 
Sets criteria for beta sites to guide nominees from Industry Marketing, Sales and others. 
Selects beta sites.  
Defines and manages vehicles for collecting customer feedback, including Customer Advisory Boards and focus groups. 
 
2.Product Launch: 
Participates with product marketing and service planning in internal launch.  
Participates in regional sales and service training. 
Participates in sales situations to support marketing, including escalation of sales/service issues. 
Works with employee education, sales, customer support and product support on positioning products, designing demos, developing training courses, etc.  
 
3.Leadership:
 Leads the cross-functional team – consisting of Software Engineering, Educational Services, Professional Services, Marketing, and Manufacturing to ensure whole-product readiness. 
May provides work leadership and domain expertise to less experienced product managers.  

Knowledge of the mobile industry ecosystem /working with a mobile product in a product management position
•Understanding of the agile development process
•Demonstrated success in cross-organizational collaboration and project management for product release readiness
•Workforce management industry experience
•Honed analytical skills and highly developed communication skills

•Demonstrated ability to gather and translate market feedback into successful product initiatives
