Essential Job Functions
- Creates technical models which serve as blueprints for project engagements of all complexities. Assists in the enhancement of existing products. Assists in overseeing the design, pricing, and marketing of products and services in order to provide support for the full life cycle of the product.
- Tracks market dynamics and potential market size to identify existing account development opportunities to sales teams in order to increase market share. Negotiates with hardware and software vendors, as appropriate, to obtain best price, products, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Interfaces with customers, brand management, and development groups to act as a primary point of contact to provide input on customer product and operational requirements.
- Maintains revenue forecast information; identifies fluctuations to financial targets and assists in adjusting strategies to realize financial commitments for sale of product.
- Enhances product sales by supporting relationships with vertical, partner, systems integrator, consultant, and professional services organizations to enhance client relationships.
- Assists in the development of product management best practices to ensure that product development meets client needs and supports company business objectives.
- Performs market research; prepares reports and presentations to inform and present opportunities to clients, marketing, and management.
- Oversees assigned personnel for project. Assigns work and provides direction with regard to timeliness and completion of project objectives. Addresses performance issues within prescribed guidelines.
- Manages client expectations and balances the needs of organization and client to ensure satisfaction for all relevant parties.
- Participates in discussions regarding project decisions and project direction at the executive level.
Job Summary
Responsible for product planning, launch, marketing and lifecycle management of a portfolio of security services "in the cloud". The product manager is responsible for a portfolio of managed service offerings that leverage alliance partner technology and CSC service capability and expertise. The role requires a unique blend of business, technical and marketing acumen. Collaboration and teaming with engineering, alliance partners, sales and marketing is critical to ensuring market requirements are satisfied and business objectives are achieved.
Job Functions
Understand and define market opportunity, competitive landscape and market positioning
Develop product roadmap based on opportunity definition and achieving CSC best in class status globally
Develop and build consensus on a MRD
White Label technology vendor products and define added value through managed and professional services
Negotiate alliance agreement with technology vendors for terms in reseller agreements
Project manage service delivery development process
Build business case supporting service development and launch
Establish Pricing, ensure sales and service delivery readiness, revenue recognition and order to cash processes and can be executed.

Be an SME for Sales and Marketing Resources
Develop and project manage execution of plan to ensure sales readiness
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
Provide and if needed author content for sales tools and marketing collateral
Serve as an internal and external evangelist for the Cloud Services and the Security Portfolio within Cloud Services.
Work in collaboratively to develop and implement a go-to-market plan, new customer acquisition plan and demand creation plans and activities leveraging other functional areas including service delivery and sales to execute.
Evangelize your offerings internally and externally with market influencers including press and industry analysts in order to gain positive coverage and articles

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, administration, or related field preferred
- Nine or more years of experience in product management
- Five or more years of supervisory experience included
- Experience working with technical products, vendors, and families of technologies
- Experience working with product systems design principles
- Experience working with financial operations concepts, practices, and procedures
Other Qualifications
- Strong skills in product development methodology such as Vision & Strategy (VS), Business Area Architecture (BAA), Iterative Custom Development (ICD), Package-Based Development (PBD) or Accelerated Application Development (X/AD)
- Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Education
Bachelors Degree in engineering or computer science
Masters degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
Experience
6 or more years of experience in product management in IT sector
Demonstrated experience in supporting sales organization in customer facing role
Knowledgeable of IT security market and familiar with leading products and services
Demonstrated success in defining and launching products with rapid time to market requirements
3 or more years of leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage cross functionally
Skills and Competencies

- Capable of rapidly developing deep subject matter expertise on IT security, Risk Management and IT Security products and services
