Product Manager / Senior Product Manager – Managed Care (Integrated Delivery Network)
My client, a small publicly traded bio-pharmaceutical company in the Boston, MA area is focused on the research, commercialization and creation of pharmaceutical products that address unmet medical needs in the acute care environment. I am currently seeking a Product Manager / Senior Product Manager to join the marketing team in this new role in support of their biggest product. TITLE: Product Manager / Senior Product Manager – Managed Care (Integrated Delivery Network) REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing SALARY RANGE: PM: Up to $125 base, plus bonus and stock options SPM: Up to $145k base, plus bonus and stock options RELO: Yes Position Summary:
In this role, the Product Manager/Senior Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, messages, and tools needed by all field sales teams (Key Account Managers, Regional Access Managers, and Clinical Business Managers (as appropriate)) for integrated customers, specifically targeted IDNs, ACOs, and top 10 private payers. This individual is responsible for executing personal and non-personal promotions via various channels to targeted customers segments, with a particular emphasis on demonstrating the value proposition of product and company. The person is also responsible for discrete programs from concept to implementation to tracking/reporting. This role is a unique opportunity to lead the strategy and execution focused on specific customer segments to drive product, the most successful I.V. antibiotic launch in U.S. history, forward. Key responsibilities include: - Strategy, messages and tools for integrated customers, hospital systems and private payers
- Strategy, messages and tools for all field teams focused on integrated customers
- Develop toolkit and data sources
- Strategy, messages and tools to support integrated customers on the Speakers Bureau
- Lead future of healthcare assessment (emerging trends, customers, IDNs, payers, ad boards, as needed)
- Strategy, messages and tools to support company value/non-branded initiatives
- Lead initiatives through internal approval processes
- Champion key Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) studies to demonstrate value of product
- Spend time in the field (at least 12 visits/year)
- Collaborate with other agency partners, including medical communications and digital
Minimum Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree required.
- Understanding of the industry regulatory and compliance landscape and emerging trends
- Minimum of five years combined Marketing, Managed Care, Reimbursement, or Sales experience working with integrated customers (IDNs, ACO, hospital systems, and/or private payers)in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry required
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: - MBA preferred but not required.
- Ability to sell the value of biopharmaceuticals
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional projects required
- Able to interact with all levels of the organization is crucial
- Thrives working in the fast pace environment of Marketing and the Commercial organization
- Experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
