I am currently seeking a candidate to join my client's group on an inline CNS product. This role can be Product Manager all the way up to Sr. Product Director, depending on the experience level of the candidate.
Title: Product Manager Up to Sr. Product Director
Salary Range: Dependent on Level
PM - up to $100,000 - $115,000 base, plus bonus and stock options
SPM - up to $115,000 - $135,000 base, plus bonus & stock options
Product Director - up to $130,000 - $160,000 base, plus bonus and stock options
Sr. Product Director - Up to $160,000 - ?? base, plus bonus and stock options

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Product Director is responsible for the effective life cycle management of one or more products. As leader of a team, the incumbent will ensure efficient teamwork on time and budget, as well as efficient collection and transmission of all important market, competitive and product information on the brand to and between marketing, sales and R&D.
This specific position will focus on lifecycle management for new indications and a follow on compound for a major marketed product. This person will establish strategic direction for this therapeutic category and devise tactical plans for that strategy to obtain. He/she will develop overall marketing plans for the product(s), encompassing manufacturing operations, advertising, public relations, sales force participation and legal/regulatory concerns; thus ensuring the harmonization of all marketing activities for the product(s) in all markets. This person will analyze the success of existing initiatives and programs, building on them to develop or direct, the development of new initiatives to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. He/she will interface with other functional areas to ensure that resources and efforts are strategically focused to achieve the objectives of the brand(s). He/she will drive the successful launch of new products.
He/she will assist the team in directing and monitoring outside vendors/agencies, ensuring that objectives are met. This person will establish and maintain relationships with key thought leaders in the health care industry and develop and deliver presentations to various audiences on different aspects of their therapeutic category.
Most important, this person will lead, motivate and develop the team of professionals reporting to this position. This includes acting as an important mentor for others throughout the marketing organization and fostering an environment of open debate and free exchange of information. Finally, this person will oversee the budget for present and future products.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Required; MBA Preferred
- 5-10 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry with most of that in a marketing role
- Solid US Inline marketing experience
- CNS experience is highly desired
- Managerial experience
- Pharmaceutical sales experience
- Launch experience
- Understand the pharmaceutical marketing mix medical education, public relations, patient incentives and must understand how this works together to produce results.
- In addition to strong oral and written communication skills, the successful person will be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and original thinking.
