Product Manger, Public Safety Applications

Department Description: Integrated Command and Control (ICC) group within Motorola's Enterprise Mobility Solutions unit.
Responsibilities/Expectations: Purpose of Position:
Product Management responsibilities of the PSA product portfolio, including CAD, Mobile, Records, JMS. Manage entire lifecycle of the product. Develop and execute winning product strategy for integrating the applications into the entire Integrated Command and Control (ICC) segment within government/EMS.
Primary Deliverables:
Develop actionable strategies for the PSA portfolio of products. Set feature content for future products based on financial and industry analysis. Develop business cases for product, features, roadmaps for the portfolio. Manage product P&L – set joint goals with the regional sales teams for the 1-5 year view establishing and pursuing aggressive growth targets. Develop an innovative, competitive product portfolio. Manage product execution to time, requirements, and quality targets. Make decisions on roadmap content for future product requirements. Interact with customers on Product presentations/demonstrations, feature requirements gathering, and sales assistance. Build productive relationships with external business partners, customers, and key industry players.
Candidates could be located at our Westminster, CO facility as well as Schaumburg
Knowledge Skills: - Requires BS/BA and directly applicable experience of 10+ years, MBA preferred, hands on experience with the Applications/Products a plus (CAD, Mobile, RMS, JMS)
-Previous experience in Product/Business Management, strong leadership skills
-Strong communication skills, including concept synthesis, verbal presentation and written documentation capabilities.
-Ten (10) or more years experience in radio, SW applications or IT business planning, product development, management, engineering or research.
-Broad and deep domain knowledge of the government and public safety market and product domain is strongly preferred.
-Previous P&L experience strongly preferred.
Basic Qualifications: bachelors degree
5+ years in product management, business planning, product development or Public Safety Applications.
