Work in tandem with the Manufacturing Product Specialist and our new and existing fabrication partner to ensure continual innovation of our product with respect to manufacturing of materials and fabrication of components to maintain a competitive cost advantage.

Work Interdepartmenatlly within Nooter/Eriksen to coordinate innovated design ideas through implementation.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide support to less experienced subcontract fabrication shops related to fabrication and welding techniques and fabrication sequences specific to Nooter/Eriksen equipment in order to reduce schedule and quality risk.
Continually pursue disruptive innovation for company products by working with all related disciplines internally and our partnered fabricators to design cost out and reduce cycle time.
Provide continual input to company design and standards system based on observations and recommendatiions from our subcontractors, for incremental cost and cycle time reduction.
Strive to ensure quality is improved, and not sacrificed, through improved design and fabrication proceses.
Coordinate design change ideas and feedback collected from fabrication shops for current products, getting necessary teams together for further cost and cycle time reduction.

Knowledge of manufacturing and welding processes along with process improvement techniques for manufacturing. Knowledge of  Cultural awareness related to building relationships globally. 

Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written. Ability to understand manufacturing operations to the extent of evaluating cost and bottleneck issues, recognizing areas where improvement can be made. Critical thinking skills to evaluate design and fabrication detail options

Four-year college education in engineering, manufacturing or industrial emphasis preferred. 

Training will be provided. Welding and/or fabrication experience preferred.

Up to 40% by car or plane; including international travel

Physical Requirements:
Lift 11-20 lbs; exposure to noise intensity; moving machinery; vibration; ability to drive.
