Sage is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for our Austin, TX campus.  The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for our Fund Accounting software products.

Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will focus on bringing product and solution offerings to the market, including development of marketing strategy, planning, and oversight of execution to ensure offerings are launched and marketed successfully.  This position will work closely with all Product Management, Marketing and Sales organizations to ensure the execution of tactical plans, communicate the organization’s distinctive competence and key market value propositions.

  • Works closely with internal and external marketing communications teams, including writers, designers, and web teams to manage and produce marketing deliverables and ensure correct messaging across all marketing functions.
  • Contributes to lead generation, install base marketing, channel marketing, advertising, web marketing, PR and tradeshow strategies and execution as appropriate.
  • Executes product marketing projects.  Includes project pre-work, job submissions, managing timelines and vendors, obtaining necessary approvals, copy and layout editing and coordinating response mechanisms.
  • Manages and updates product demonstrations, product collateral, white papers, sales tools and additional launch materials as appropriate.
  • Manages customer success stories, references, and testimonials.
  • Assists in the contribution to thought leadership initiatives via article creations, tradeshow representation and speaking engagements.
  • Serves as product marketing representative on cross-functional product teams.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20%.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with proven successes in product marketing or product management with a strong focus on product marketing.
  • Experience or exposure to the nonprofit and/or government markets or volunteer experience in a leadership role of nonprofit organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of accounting, fund accounting is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong listening skills and strong meeting facilitation skills.  This position involves heavy writing so writing skills are a must.
  • Presentation skills are strongly desired.
  • Published works are a plus.
  • A portfolio of writing samples will be required during the interview process.
  • Excellent ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to multiple conflicting and high impact priorities, continuously prioritize and re-prioritize deliverables and to respond to unexpected changes is required.
  • Prior experience working with a merger or acquisition and with a shared-services environment is a plus.
  • Experience working in an environment where the customer base is specialized.
