We are currently searching for a proven Product Marketing Manager to join our Vital Signs team.
The Product Marketing Manager will drive the growth and success of newly created consumer medical monitoring technology. The individual in this role will utilize their broad-based marketing background, including product and market strategy, e-commerce, distribution, pricing, communications and promotion, to effectively manage all aspects of the product franchise.
The ideal candidate will possess their Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other relevant discipline, 4+ years of medical device product marketing (including e-commerce and/or direct-to-consumer experience), demonstrated ability to lead effective cross-functional teams, an attitude of ownership and accountability, and a proven track record of success.
Essential Job Functions:
· Provide leadership for the franchise marketing processes and key marketing deliverables by establishing strategies and plans that support Vital Signs consumer business plan.
· Develop and implement programs from concept to completion, using metrics to drive success and continuous improvement.
· Develop, implement, and measure an integrated marketing plan which captures the consumer market segment.
· Establish and enhance franchise product offering through identifying and assessing product and market opportunities and outlining franchise road maps to align with company objectives.
· Participate as a member of cross functional product development teams.
· Establish and manage the franchise’s global market strategies and plans, provide marketing direction to field sales and other strategic channels (e.g. distribution channels), including execution of product commercialization plans.
· Lead marketing efforts to understand segment influencers including customer demographics, competitive assessments, and market needs.
· Establish, build, and maintain key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, other franchises, sales, opinion leaders, and clinical/patient societies.
· Partner with finance, sales, and supply chain to develop the forecast and manage operational issues for the franchise.
· Define and implement clear product positioning and messaging for franchise and its associated products; develop and implement product training and educational tools.
· Keep up-to-date on new developments and trends to understand customer and market needs for assigned products.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required and 3-5 years of successful related business experience, preferably product marketing related.
· Demonstrated success working as an integral cross-functional team member, with ability to effectively utilize internal resources.
· Comprehensive understanding of the marketing and product planning process.
· Strong strategic and implementation experience in marketing across various outlets including web-based, traditional, multi-media, etc.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to listen and assess customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements, and communicate them cross-functionally.
· Excellent leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills to work effectively in driving a franchise.
· Demonstrated ability to work with teams such as Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Corporate Communications.
· Strong relationship building skill.
· High level of motivation with the ability to operate as an individual and team contributor.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
· Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
· MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
· Experience with e-commerce and/or direct-to-consumer marketing.
· Clinical aptitude of respiratory, cardiopulmonary, critical care, and emergency medicine.
· Technical aptitude and/or prior experience working with technical products.
