We are seeking a senior product marketing manager with a proven track record of bringing to market and accelerating sales of high-tech products and/or software. This position is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market plans for assigned FalconStor product line(s). To be successful in this role, candidates must excel in the creation of marketing messaging, collateral, web-site content, presentations, sales tool-kits, and training material for both the end user and direct and channel sales. This position will represent product marketing at industry tradeshows, VAR events, seminars, partner meetings, and customer meetings.
· Location: Melville, NY
· Travel: Variable, up to 25%
· Develop content for product collateral and website including solution briefs, whitepapers and sales enablement tools.
· Develop and execute go-to-market strategies
· Develop and implement product-level marketing programs, including product launches and segment marketing campaigns
· Understand technology trends, market opportunity, customer needs, and competitive products/direction to define product requirements to product management
· Work with product management to coordinate go-to-market plans with product roadmaps
· Work with other product marketing managers to ensure cohesive messaging and product positioning
· Present to prospects, customers, partners, industry press and analysts on products and solutions
· Work with sales to drive and support field-level marketing initiatives such as seminars
· Interface with customers and sales to assist in significant customer deals
· The candidates should have a combination of technical, business and leadership and excellent communication skills to drive cross functional activities and execute go-to-market plans.
· 8+ years of product marketing experience in high-tech industries
· Strong understanding of the data storage industry
· Demonstrable experience analyzing products, competition, pricing, and industry trends and development of competitive messaging
· Demonstrable experience leading product marketing for high tech product lines
· Able to present to customers and sales force
· Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure systems with a focus on (servers, switches, storage, back-up)
· Experienced in creating a range of marketing documents including white papers, solutions briefs, web-site content, presentations, co-marketing promotional literature, sales tools, and training material
· BS/BA in Business or Technical Discipline; MBA preferred
· BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Technical Discipline; MBA preferred
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to create clear, concise presentations
· Ability to communicate complex technical advantages in simplified business terms
· Excellent interpersonal skills: Must be able to work comfortably with a diverse set of personalities, ethnicities, and disciplines
· Comfortable working with all levels within the organization
· Must be able to work independently and be productive on tight schedules
· Direct experience in product marketing with a major storage vendor a plus
