The Product Marketing Manager- Honeywell Video Systems is a highly visible role, with clear opportunities for advancement into senior marketing, engineering or general management positions.
Honeywell Security provides electronic physical security solutions for a broad spectrum of industries and enterprises. Primary product solutions include Video & Video Analytics, Access and Intrusion.
This individual contributor role is responsible for designing and driving a Honeywell's Video Systems product portfolio in order to deliver a larger monetary value to the market. The mission for this role is to make 1+1=3 for our Channel Partners and End Users. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving long term organic growth in the business through the development of global NPI's. They will do this while partnering with business and functional resources to ensure that the current strategy and roadmap is being executed successfully within the portfolio.
Detailed responsibilities include:
• Create, focus and maintain the global product strategy and roadmap for portfolio within the Video business. This includes identifying high-opportunity markets, segments and offerings and planning for the organization's market entree and success within the product portfolio. This includes:
• Building a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, industry players, trends, competitive strategies, technologies, standards, regulations and economics.
• Developing market segmentation that drives the understanding of unique customer needs within those segments where integration provides an advantage to Honeywell.
• Driving continual Voice of Customer (VOC) activities to enhance the portfolio to validate opportunities that differentiate Honeywell Video Systems globally.
• Making compelling recommendations after assessing customer and market requirements, new and existing technologies, current strategies, and branding and/or licensing opportunities.
• Contributing to the STRAP/AOP planning process for the portfolio.
• Interact frequently with the senior management team and customers, as well as business and functional leaders
• Drive the implementation of for the portfolio strategy and system architecture into sustainable, high-profit growth for Honeywell Video including:
• Product lifecycle management and portfolio rationalization for profitable product line execution.
• Working with Marketing, Sales and business leaders to develop specific value propositions for each region to maximize the new and existing products & families developed to maximize growth & profits.
• Driving channel activities such as new product launches, pricing activities, customer presentations, bid support and customer user groups leveraging global Marketing organization.
• Drive product development through the PAC process meeting deliverables, setting and maintaining development schedules within the product portfolio
• Work with engineering to drive product development timelines
• Develop product launch kits, including value proposition, Product Bulletin, Competitive analysis, datasheets, sales tools, etc. (e.g., ensuring quality of materials, timing)
• Working with purchasing and engineering to manage external vendors
• Manage Product Portfolio lifecycle to drive prices and gross margins and provide input to the Demand Manager and Sales to adjust and revise forecasts
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years direct management experience
- 5 years experience in technical, Business to Business marketing roles
Additional Qualifications - Engineering or Marketing degree; MBA
- Electronic Security industry- highly preferred
- Prefer candidate located in Louisville
- Green Belt Certification
