Product Marketing ManagerThis position is accountable for defining and developing detailed market requirements for Digi products and identifying market needs, competitive activities, and potential return on investment.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Work closely with Engineer, Sales and Marketing functions to define and implement actions for maximizing product line for business planning, product development, marketing and information exchange.
- Work with Operations to drive forecasting, inventory, and product cost optimization.
- Recommend technology solutions and products for target market segments and/or customers in order to retain current customers with existing product solutions or migrate them to next generation technologies.
- Drive execution and contribute to the development of Digi's product roadmap based on market potential, technology fit, core competencies, and financial returns.
- Recommend products for EOL status and lead the development and implementation of the EOL strategy.
- Drive product development from conception to market introduction. partner with Engineering, Sales, and product Marketing to effectively deliver products to market.
- Support the application of market research to product plans which will develop positioning, pricing, packaging and promotions to capitalize on key market segments.
- Developing sales tools to train and support sales in conjunction with corporate training resources
- Delivering presentations to customers or other external groups.
- Working with corporate marketing to create materials and rollout plans in accordance with plan and budget.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering or related work experience.
- 8-10 years of related product experience involving relevant technologies preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with ll levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively balancing resources to meet deadlines.
- Ideal candidate will have the flexibility and innovative leadership that are required to thrive in a rapidly changing technology market
- Proven ability to work at a detailed level.
- Ability to learn technical products and IP networking.
