BIOTRONIK, Inc. is building a world-class marketing team and has an exciting opportunity available for a Product Manager in Portland, Oregon.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Manager leads and actively participates in the development and execution of strategic marketing plans for a specific therapy class. He or she identifies and champions strategic opportunities for BIOTRONIK, building consensus to ensure buy-in and change.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads the development and implementation of annual strategic marketing plans.
- Leads the development and implementation of annual and long-term Marketing goals.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of BIOTRONIK products and services, assesses competitive strengths and weaknesses, and makes recommendations on how to leverage this understanding.
- Builds consensus by seeking input from key internal and external stakeholders in an effort to strengthen plans or uncover challenges to implementation – can appreciate and adapt to different points of view. Establishes and maintains strong cross-functional working relationships.
- Understands the key influences in the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry (i.e. physicians, hospitals, contracts, reimbursement, public policy, etc.) and has a working knowledge of the sales environment and relevant marketing channels.
- Interacts regularly with physician customers during corporate meetings and in the field with sales representatives to ensure a first hand understanding of customer behaviors and of the selling environment.
- Builds and maintains a network of sales reps that can be called on for input and insight.
- Works closely with communications specialists in the development of communications plans and in the production of sales collateral.
- Independently sets goals and prioritizes workload in support of department and corporate objectives. Indentifies, initiates, and champions change and process improvements, both internal and external to the marketing department.
- When possible, accommodates for limited corporate resources by presenting multiple options, along with pros and cons, when making strategic and tactical recommendations.
- Responsible for all continuation marketing efforts associated with assigned therapy area (i.e. forecasting, inventory, sales support, competitive information, obsolescence, etc.).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
- 2-5 years of medical device marketing experience required. Experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in dealing with the conceptual requirements of developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with current multi-media production capabilities and requirements.
- Proven initiative and the ability to define own workload and goals.
- Prior leadership experience within a multi-disciplinary working environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the Company.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel up to 25%.
