Position Overview:
iPass Managed Network Services provides a variety of Wide Area Networking solutions for the enterprise. Our state-of-the-art IP VPN Management Platform enables customers to remotely manage large networks, delivering the visibility and control they require. From PCI compliancy services to advanced network and application level monitoring, iPass MNS delivers the management and solutions necessary to improve network performance, network security, and network availability.
The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) for iPass Managed Network Services is responsible for designing and managing a full range of marketing programs focused on increasing sales and improving our strategic positioning in the market. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
This position will team cross-functionally with the corporate iPass marketing organization and be responsible for spearheading all aspects of MNS marketing. The Product Marketing Manager will also work hand-in-hand with sales, key internal business owners, customers, and partners. The PMM will also need to work closely with Product Management and Engineering to provide product feedback as well as ensure alignment, readiness, and communication to the field and customer base.
Principal Responsibilities:
iPass MNS is an established yet growing division within iPass Inc and we are seeking a candidate with a diverse range of product marketing experience; the PMM will develop and drive all aspects of our marketing strategy. The PMM will own the public relations and marketing communications strategy, as well as drive go-to market initiatives both offline and online. This position will have responsibility for the key marketing levers for iPass MNS including market research, branding, messaging, demand generation, product launches, customer product council oversight, and thought leadership initiatives.
The Product Marketing Manager is also responsible for creating, measuring, and tracking the Key Performance Indicators associated with the Programs as well as any needed marketing processes to ensure deliverability.
The successful candidate will focus on the following:
· Expand our brand and messaging for the product portfolio
· Create measurable, market-driven, go-to-market strategies around key product/service initiatives
· Provide key customer and product feedback into product and engineering
· Build and manage demand creation process and methodologies
· Develop key Internet marketing programs to drive interest, educate, and drive sales
· Expand and manage all product collateral and improve Customer References, Case Studies, and whitepapers
· Work with our customers and industry experts to evangelize our solution portfolio and create better mindshare in the market
Minimum Qualifications:
· 10+ years of experience and a proven track record of leading and managing marketing programs
o Experience leading and managing integrated product launches and product marketing campaigns to support sales and business development
o Experience in driving demand generation programs
o Experience managing analyst and PR programs
· Direct experience with Telecommunications or network management a plus
· Must be hands-on and personally accountable with a strong focus on execution
· An enthusiastic, high-energy and motivating individual with a marketing “attitude” who is visibly passionate
· Success will be judged on what is accomplished and delivered along with resulting business success, not on what is proposed
· Highly entrepreneurial, with a high level of energy, dedication, and a strong drive to succeed and win. Not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves
· A learner, someone who can become deeply versed in, and articulate about, the iPass MNS business and solutions
· Ability to quickly build credibility and rapport with the field sales & operations teams
· Bachelor’s degree required. MBA a plus
