We are seeking a Product Stewardship Manager to work in our National Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.  This position will be responsible for managing the legal requirements for the new electronic waste initiatives starting in 2010.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

•  Track product take-back and recycling laws which impact LG Electronics in North America.
• Read and understand bills & laws and summarize to management.
• Develop and implement plans for compliance with various electronic waste laws.
• Insure compliance with all electronic waste laws, statutes, and regulations.
• Work with outside vendors to develop and negotiate service contracts for collection and recycling.
• Maintain database detailing collection and recycling activities by, or on behalf of, LG Electronics.
• Attend recycling events, seminars, conferences, and trade shows pertaining to electronic waste.
• Some budgetary responsibility.
• Some travel required (approximately 2 days/month).

•  Bachelors degree in Science, Math or Engineering discipline
• 3-5 years project management experience
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Bilingual (English/Korean) a plus
