Product Technical Support Engineer – Rapid Prototyping
Solidscape, a Southern NH manufacturing company is looking for a candidate who has the experience and skills necessary to install, repair and support our product line worldwide. The applicant must be autonomous and self motivated, with three to five years experience in electronics, mechanics, printer, copier, plotter or CAD/CAM machine equipment servicing, as well as a working knowledge of DOS, Windows and computer troubleshooting.
Duties and requirements include:
- Provide hardware and software technical support for our family of rapid prototyping machines via phone, email and onsite visits
- Ability to guide users and technicians of varying technical ability through the problem resolution process.
- Perform on-site customer installation & training
- Perform on-site remedial maintenance
- travel required approximately 30% –50%
- Ability to read schematics & manufacturer drawings
- Must have a strong electro-mechanical ability necessary to perform machine repair and calibration procedures
- Maintain the machine history and maintenance database by inputting accurate break/fix information related to all service incidents
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing
- Perform in-house repair of customer units
- Generate product Service Technical Bulletins
- Must possess strong PC skills
