Production Administrator/Editor I

About the Job

 


The American College of Physicians (ACP), the nation’s largest medical specialty society, is seeking a Production Administrator/Editor I to join our Medical Education and Publishing division.  Specific responsibilities include:


 



  • Administering the print and electronic production of all programs to finished product.
  • Serving as a liaison between editorial staff, graphics, and editorial production to coordinate design and ensure assignments are completed on time.
  • Oversees production schedules and procedures.
  • Responsible for training and supervision of Assistant Editors under the direction of the Managing Editor.
  • Substantive editing of selected portions of Self-Assessment Programs medical content as well as copyediting and proofreading of assigned content.

 


This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.  Previous editorial production experience in an online, networked computer environment required.  Experience with medical editing preferred.
