Since 1985, Arizona Polymer Flooring has been a manufacturer of high performance flooring products and systems using leading edge polymer chemistry. We formulate a wide variety of products based on epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic technology.

We are looking for a Production Chemist / Manager to manage our production department and quality control personnel.  This position reports to the Vice President.

Position Summary:  Responsible for all aspects of production, quality control, research and development of new products and the implementation of new production and QC practices.

• Manage production team
• Facility maintenance
• Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• New formulations
• Improving existing formulations
• Schedule work flow
• Trouble shoot product / production issues
• Write product Technical Data sheets

Requirements:  The candidate for this position must be a creative self-starter with the ability to manage a team and work independently.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.

• Candidate must have a BS in chemistry or chemical engineering
• A minimum of 5 years of “in plant” experience in the paint and coatings industry
• Experience formulating with epoxy and polyurethane chemistry
• Experience managing a team
• Trouble shoot product / production issues
• Write product technical data sheets
• Write material safety data sheets (MSDS)
• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations
• Good documentation skills
• Prior experience with Sage PFW (Batch Master) a plus
