Production Equipment Mechanic
Brink’s U.S., a Division of Brink’s, Incorporated, is the premiere provider of armored car transportation, ATM servicing, currency and coin processing and other value added services to financial institutions, retailers and other commercial and government entities. We have a challenging opportunity for an experienced Production Equipment Mechanic in our Coin Facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all related coin equipment, training operators to properly operate machinery, ensuring that operators maintain production rates above national average standards, and maintaining organization/ cleanliness of the mechanics’ shop. Specific Job Duties: • Monitor production of ATLs and verification machinery to ensure accuracy of counts and optimal efficiency. • Maintain a parts inventory record and stock of parts. Order replacement parts as necessary to minimize downtime (lost production time) in the event that a machine breaks down.• Ensure operation of equipment by cleaning it and completing preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
• Structure and schedule breaks as to not interfere with mechanic responsibilities.
• Monitor and report any issues regarding deficiencies/need for replacement of any equipment to manager.
• Fill in for operators (both ATL and verification) as needed to support an uncompromised operational flow.
• See that general work area is clean and orderly.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Two years experience in electronics/mechanical environment
• Willing to learn and teach
• Mechanical aptitude
• Able/willing to multi-task in fast-paced production environment
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to operate all machinery
• Detail oriented
• Willing to work in an armed environment and able to qualify for a firearm permit
• History of working collaboratively with others
• Solid work history and credit record
• Strong ethics and integrity
